Owo Arts is a multidisciplinary contemporary art studio working across painting, film, installation, and emerging technology. Founded by Ramon Shitta, the studio draws on Nigerian heritage, African philosophies, and a life lived across multiple countries — treating migration not as a single event but as an ongoing condition of belonging to several places at once.
 

Since 2017, the studio's collections have circled a consistent set of questions: what we're able to see and what remains hidden (One Eyed Kings), how identity moves and dissolves like water across bodies and borders (We Are All Bodies of Water), and what surfaces when a face is only partially revealed (Phases of Faces) and the start of it all (Problem no dey finish) a reflection on realities of life. Rather than isolated series, these bodies of work build on one another — each one a chapter in a longer investigation into perception, memory, and the invisible systems that shape how people understand themselves and each other.
 

Owo Arts works across disciplines — research, exhibition, publishing, and technology — because the questions the studio is interested in don't live inside one medium. Every project is built to contribute to that larger, ongoing body of work.
