We are all bodies of water

"Fluid Lagos" is a collaborative short film that delves into the significance of water in Lagos, Nigeria.

Initiated by the Goethe-Institut and led by filmmaker Nora Mandray during her residency in Lagos, the project brought together ten participants to explore hydrofeminism—a concept emphasizing the interconnectedness of all bodies through water. Through workshops, the collective developed a narrative that examines the city's fluid dynamics, weaving personal and communal experiences into a cohesive piece.

The film has been showcased at several international festivals, including DOK Leipzig in Berlin, the Leeds International Film Festival, S16 in Lagos, and the Carthage Film Festival in Tunisia. These screenings highlight the universal relevance of "Fluid Lagos," offering audiences a unique perspective on the interplay between water and urban life in one of Africa's most vibrant cities.
