This project started while analyzing one Yoruba (Nigerian Language) proverb that translates to English as "In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king"  

 

The One Eyed Kings explores what communication could be like if one of your most vulnerable stories was on display for everyone to see.

 

As you go through the drawings and read their stories, my hope is that you are able to see them for who they are. They are raw and exposed. There is no pretense or hiding. They are revealing all of themselves to you hoping that you will accept all of them and understand who they are. My hope is they hey can help heal a part of you that needs healing.
